American Sign Language Resources
Instructor: Dean Evans
This webpage is designed to provide resources to parents/family members/ friends and those just wanting to learn more about deafness and sign language. I have provied a list of sign language classes, books, and online websites. Please enjoy and happy learning.
RESA As A Resource
The Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) is comprised of 16 regional educational service agencies strategically located in service districts throughout the State of Georgia. The agencies were established for the purpose of sharing services designed to improve the effectiveness of the educational programs of member school systems. In addition, the RESAs assist the State Department of Education in promoting its initiatives. The RESAs inform systems of innovation and gather research on programs as needed.

There may be ASL classes and other resources that can benefit you offered through these offices. Click here to identify your local RESA office.
Deaf Events
For a list of Deaf Events, please go to the "Support Services" tab, scroll down to "interpreter services" to my files to see the calendar of Deaf Events for GA for 2010. There are some events that may not be on the calendar. You can also go to www.gachi.org (GACHI) for lists of Deaf Events.
parent to parent workshops
Please look to the website www.p2pga.org for their calendar of workshops. They offer workshops several times a month.
